Lorraine E. (Avila) St. Arnaud, 73, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away Sunday November 20, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital, after a long illness.
A daughter of the late Thomas and the late Elizabeth (Lacombe) Avila, she was born March 12, 1949, in Lowell, and was raised and educated in the City. She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church, and a member of the Lowell Senior Center.
Lorraine worked for over seven years at the former Capital Store before working for Bradlees, and retired from Walmart after working in retail for over twenty years. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren.
Her survivors include her children, Thomas St. Arnaud and his wife, Brenda, of Melrose, Peter St. Arnaud and his wife, Lisa, of Dracut, and Kelley St. Arnaud of Naples FL; her grandchildren, Emma, Riley, and Elizabeth; as well as several nieces and nephews, and several lifelong friends.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas Avila and Gerald Avila.
Her funeral services will take place privately from the Mahoney Funeral Home 187 Nesmith Street, Lowell, MA. Donations in Lorraine’s name can be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Kelly, Peter and Tommy I am so sorry to hear of Aunties passing. I will always Remember her laugh, her love for Christmas and man did she know how to party.. I always had the best time coming to Mass to see her. When her and my dad would together the laughs and jokes. She brought the best out in my dad , she always had him laughing .. I will cherish all the memories we had Auntie.. love you all.
