HIGGINS, Thomas M., of Lowell, formerly of Cambridge, passed peacefully with family by his side on March 6, 2021. Beloved husband of 12 years to Brenda A. (Cremin) of Lowell. Loving father of Brian Higgins and the late Debra Higgins. Cherished ‘Papa’ of Tia and Rhys Higgins of Stoughton.

Son of the late Francis J. Higgins and Carmella J. (Mazza). Dear brother of William Higgins and his wife Susan of Billerica, and Camille “Cammy” Fournier of Woburn. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, whom he always enjoyed spending time with.

He also leaves behind many loving relatives and close friends. Retired Firefighter for the City of Cambridge. Proud employee after his retirement from the fire department, of the Swanson Meadows Golf Club in Billerica. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed vacationing with family and friends on Cape Cod, trips to Vegas, and he loved horse racing. Late Vietnam Era Navy Veteran.

While practicing social distancing and wearing a mask, relatives & friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Mahoney Funeral Home, 187 Nesmith Street, Lowell on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 4-8PM. Burial and Military Honors will be Private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tommy’s memory may be made to Lowell General Hospital, Philanthropy Department, 295 Varnum Ave, Lowell, MA 01854, or Merrimack Valley Hospice, Attn.
