Susan E. (Dayon) Pappaconstantinou / Pappas, 71, a lifelong Lowell resident passed away on Friday, November 12 at High Pointe House in Haverhill MA after a long illness.

Susan cherished many things in her life, especially her grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as Nana. When not spending time with those closest to her she could be found on the beaches of Seabrook New Hampshire with a good book in hand and Barbara Streisand on the radio. Susan was a voracious reader and especially enjoyed reading about the British royal family. Susan had an infectious laugh and loved to be the life of the party and brought great joy to all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

She is survived by her two loving children, Melissa Gannon and her husband, Cliff, of Lowell and Lieutenant Charles Pappaconstantinou of Lowell, a police officer with the Lowell Police Department. Her four grandchildren, Alexa Gannon, Nicholas Gannon, Samantha Gannon and Bobby Pappas, all of Lowell. Her two sisters, Judith A. Gallagher and her husband, Michael, of Lowell and Patricia A. Dayon of Surprise Arizona, her nephew and godson Liam Gallagher, also of Lowell and two Nieces Katie Riehm of Surprise Arizona, and Kirsten Mellinger and her husband Marc of Flagstaff Arizona, plus several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her beloved parents, she was also predeceased by her former husband, Stephen “Bobby” Pappaconstantinou who passed away in 2007. Susan’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Merrimack Valley Hospice for their care of Susan during her final weeks.
