Sandra H. (Moore) Riley

LOWELL Sandra H. (Moore) Riley, 80, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford. She was the widow of the late David E. Riley, Sr. with whom she shared 45 wonderful years of marriage before he passed away in 2014.

She was born on February 1, 1941 in Cooperstown, NY and was the daughter of the late Grenville ‘Greenie’ Moore and the late Doris (Ranger) Moore. She was raised in Dracut, where she attended the area schools.

She was a bookkeeper and administrative assistant at Lowell Plumbing Supply and Frank Gouveia Plumbing until her retirement. She enjoyed cross stitching, watching football, never met a crossword puzzle that she couldn’t solve and loved fast cars. She had a passion for animals and loved them all, especially her large breed dogs, many cats and woodland critters that visited her back yard.

Sandra is survived by her four children, Dawn Leah Coelin and her husband, John of Medford, Gretchen Elisa Silva and her husband, Christopher of Sanford, ME, David Edward Riley, Jr. of Gardner, and Shannon Dee Anderson and her husband, B.J. of Lowell. She is also survived by her brother, Ronald Moore; and ten nieces and nephews, whom she loved like her own.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was welcomed into heaven by her predeceased siblings, Paula Parsons, Priscilla Love, Shelly Everett, and Richard Moore and by her friend and brother in law, Larry Love Jr.
