Rosaura Aponte Resto

Rosaura “Rosa” Aponte Resto, 91, of Lowell, passed away peacefully at the High Pointe Hospice House on Thursday, December 17, 2020. She was the widow of Victor Manuel Aponte.

 

She was born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico on September 4, 1929. She was a daughter of Manuel Resto and Juana Rosa. She grew up, and was educated in Puerto Rico.
As a young adult she moved to New York City where she started her family and worked as a seamstress. A few years later she relocated to Lowell with her children to be closer to her sisters. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a very giving person, she would always help a friend in need, in any way possible. She loved spending time with her family and friends, She was very particular about her appearance and was always ready to entertain friends and family. Rosaura touched people in a big way throughout her life. Everyone who came across her loved her. She was a devoted super mother, super amazing strong woman. We were all blessed to have her in our lives. Rosaura loved life and lived life to the fullest!

 

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Nelson, Carmen, Migdalia, Noel and Jacqueline; she is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Also she leaves her siblings including her two sisters and friends Lucy and Elsy, and also her longtime friend Elba, that was like a sister. She was the mother of the late Wilfredo DeJesus.
