Robert H. Schliebus

LOWELL Robert H. Schliebus, 81, of Lowell, formerly of Chelmsford, passed away at his home on June 25, 2022.

He was born on February 25, 1941 in Lowell and was a son of Hans H. Schliebus and Martha D. (Rother) Schliebus; grew up in Chelmsford and graduated from Chelmsford High School. He went on to obtain his Bachelor’s degree in business from Boston University.

He resided in Chelmsford for most of his life, but for the last 20 years he made his home in Lowell. He truly enjoyed golfing with his many “golf buddies”, was an avid collector of classic records, CDs and cassettes. He was a longtime member of the Fellowship Bible Church in Methuen. For the past many years he worked as a rep for Sosmetal, working with local shops and repair facilities, with many clients he considered friends.

He is survived by his faithful and close sister, Deborah Blake of Manchester, and his brother Douglas Schliebus and his wife Judy who reside on Orcas Island in Eastsound, WA. He was the brother in law of the late Dana Blake. He is also survived by several close cousins, as well as his nieces, nephews, and many friends.
