Patricia Ann (Durkin) McGee

Patricia Ann (Durkin) McGee, 73 of Hollis, NH, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon, NH.

She was born in Lowell on April 12, 1948 and was a daughter of the late Thomas J. Durkin and the late Claire E. (Carney) Durkin. She was raised in Lowell, where she attended the area schools, graduating from Lowell High School.

She was employed as a Medical Transcriptionist for over 40 years most recently with OSA Orthopedics, retiring in 2010.

Bringing people together is what brought her joy whether it be hosting family holidays or being the house in the neighborhood where all kids were welcome.

Patricia is survived by her two sons, Ryan T. McGee and his wife, Diana Kennedy of Wakefield, and Casey R. McGee and his wife, Alicia McGee of Burlington; and her grandchildren, Logan, Gavin, and Cooper. She is also survived by her siblings, Anne Gould, and Mary Mullin; and many nieces and nephews.    

At her request, calling hours have been omitted and funeral services are private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon, NH.

    Dear Ryan and Casey, I just don’t have the words to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Your Mom was a real and true friend to many and to me for nearly fifty years. So many memories, so many stories. She will be missed.

    Dear Mary, Ann, Casey, Ryan and Family….So deeply sorry for the loss of your beautiful Sister and Mother…She was always such a good friend and beautiful person inside and out to everyone she met…She was truly the best…Her kindness, beauty, intelligence and steadiness followed her everywhere she went… Her laughter was the best…big, loud and genuine…I will always remember our Highlands neighborhood, St. Margaret’s, Lowell High then we all went on.     Dear Mary and Ann, I am so sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. Although we have all drifted apart , I have so many fond memories from our time growing up ; The birthday get togethers and all the holidays spent with you and and our other cousins, Mary Gail, Noreen , and Kathy. Most of all I remember the monthsI spent with your family when my mother was hospitalized in Boston. Despite my sadness without my mother and Dad , you guys made a sad time so much better. I am sending my sincere sympathy to all your families in the loss of your sister.
