LOWELL Olga Iris (Gonzalez) Toledo, 82 of Lowell, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of Jose R. Toledo-Colon with whom she shared over 64 years of marriage.
She was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on July 24, 1938 and was a daughter of the late Francisco Gonzalez and the late Ana Maria Dominguez. She was raised in Puerto Rico where she lived until 1970 when she and her husband, Jose, settled in Lowell.
Taking care of her family was her main priority. She was a devoted mother and adored time spent with family, especially her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Gloria Luhan and her husband, Stephen, Maria Amaral and her husband, Mario, Jose L. Toledo, Reinaldo Toledo and his wife, Nichole, Gerardo Toledo and Brenda, Maria Pecoraro, Noraide Haney and her husband, John, Noraida Toledo, D’alma Colon and her husband, Juan, Jose R. Toledo Jr., Myriam Joga and her husband, Jose, and Olga M. Nieves and her husband, Samuel. Olga is also survived by her 24 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; her daughter in law, Susan Toledo; and her son in law, Richard Roberts.
She was welcomed into heaven by her son, the late Luis E. Toledo and her daughter, the late Aracelis Toledo Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, HER FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD PRIVATELY. BURIAL WILL TAKE PLACE AT WESTLAWN I CEMETERY IN LOWELL. ARRANGEMENTS BY THE MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH STREET, LOWELL 978-452-6361.
