Lydia V. Baldonado

LOWELL  – Lydia V. Baldonado, 86 of Lowell, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital. She was born on November 2, 1934 in Tarlac Philippines and was the daughter of the late Clemente Baldonado and the late Rosalina (Vera) Baldonado. She was predeceased by her siblings, the late Pete, Lito, Dante, and Noli.
She was raised in the Philippines before coming to Lowell in 1972, where she lived since. She was educated in Lowell, graduating from UMass Lowell with her Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. She was employed as an engineer at Wang Labs for many years until they closed.
Lydia enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and helping out at the Lowell Senior Center. She was the greatest aunt and loved staying close with her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her nephew, Abel Baldonado of Hemet, CA

    My friend of over 40 years. We shared many road trips together, birthdays and teaching you to drive that mustang, your first car. Making egg rolls with you and your Mom so I could take them to SD for Christmas with my family. I never did get the roll to look as good as you did, but I did try. I will miss the phone calls with you that we had over the years. It has been a joy being your friend since the days at the Lowell YWCA. Love you.
