Kristen A. “Kris” (Rantz) Springer

Kristen A. “Kris” (Rantz) Springer, 47 of Lowell, passed away after a very brief illness unexpectedly on Friday, September 10, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Randy Springer with whom she shared the last 27 years of marriage.

Kristen was born in Lowell on March 28, 1974 and was the daughter of Leonard E. Rantz (deceased) and JoAnne (Silva) Rantz of Tewksbury. She graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School before graduating with her Associates Degree from Castle College in Windham, NH.

More recently, Kristen was employed as a paraprofessional at Chelmsford Public Schools. Previously Kristen worked in the public schools of Tewksbury, Dracut and Lowell. She was a lifelong member of the Lawrence Street Primitive Methodist Church. Kristen was an avid reader, and enjoyed listening to music and watching TV. Above all else, spending time with her family brought her the most happiness.

In addition to her husband, Randy of Lowell, and her mother, JoAnne, of Tewksbury, she is survived by her three children, Jeffrey, Brian, and Megan Springer all of Lowell; her brother, Matthew Rantz and his wife, Lora of Hanover, MA and many nieces and nephews.

Kristen is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Terrie Didier of Pensacola, FL, Sherry Wren and her husband, Mike, of Milton, FL, Penne Fuller and her husband, Ken of Tewksbury; and her father-in-law, Richard Springer of Milton, FL. she was the the daughter-in-law of the late Cora Springer.

ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2021 ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND HER CALLING HOURS FROM 4-8 P.M. AT THE MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH STREET, LOWELL. HER FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 AT 10:15 A.M. AT THE LAWRENCE STREET PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH, 1189 LAWRENCE STREET, LOWELL. BURIAL WILL TAKE PLACE PRIVATELY AT A LATER DATE AT LOWELL CEMETERY.
