Kathleen J. Mansur

Kathleen J. (Barry) Mansur, 77, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at D’Youville Senior Health Care Center after a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Joseph P. and the late Clarice (DaCunha) Barry, she was born January 16, 1947, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools, graduating from Lowell High School, Class of 1964, where she was a Girl Officer.

She worked as a telephone operator for several years for AT&T before retiring. She then worked at Putnam Investments for several years before retiring.

Kathleen loved her family, especially her grandchildren and enjoyed family summeer vacations at Seabrook Beach. She also enjoyed horse racing, at Rockingham Park in particular and she was also a Celine Dion fan. She will be remembered as fun loving, very honest, social, and the life of the party.

Her survivors include her sons, Ryan B Mansur and his wife, Sandra (Rubico), of Tewksbury, and Brad U. Mansur of Lowell; her daughters, Karen Cassella and her husband, James D. Cassella of Lowell and Kathleen J. Doherty and her husband, Alan, of Cape Coral, FL; her beloved grandchildren Alycia M. Anderson and her husband, Keith, Matthew J. Cassella, Morghan J. Cassella, and Olyvia J.Cassella; her two great grandchildren, Lielah Mackay and Sophia Cassella; her sister, Mary T. Barry of Salisbury; her brother, Arthur Barry of Lowell; her sister in law, Joanne Barry of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by her grand daughter, Meredith Mackay and her brother, Pat Barry.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway Street, Lowell MA 01854 in her name will be appreciated.

On Friday, September 20, all are welcome to attend her visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 144 East Merrimack Street, Lowell. All are invited to her Funeral Mass which will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Church. Arrangements by the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, Lowell, 978-452-6361.
