BOSTON Jose M. Melendez Perez, 52, of Boston, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Boston after a brief illness. He was the beloved son of Jose M. Melendez of Lowell and Hilda (Perez) Flores of Lowell.
Born August 13, 1968, in Puerto Rico, he came to Massachusetts at a young age, and was educated in the local schools.
He made his home in Boston, and worked as an assembler in electronics manufacturing for several years. He volunteered at the House of Hope in Boston for a few years, but his passion in life was baseball, he loved to play baseball and enjoyed watching as a spectator. He also loved music
His survivors include his beloved parents, Jose Melendez and Hilda Flores; his sister, Julayka Benitez of Florida; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
You are invited to His Calling Hours 3 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2021. On Monday, His Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, 978-452-6361. Burial in Lowell cemetery.
