James M. ‘Jimmy’ Murray

HUDSON, NH     James M. ‘Jimmy’ Murray, 74, of Hudson, New Hampshire, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021, after a brief illness.  A beloved son of the late James and the late Virginia P. (Thomas) Murray, he was born October 23, 1946, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools graduating from Lowell Trade School from the Automotive program. 

     Mr. Murray was an avid skier and scuba diver, and taught Saxophone at Crochet Mountain.  He was a maintenance electrician at Johns Manville in Billerica before his retirement and also worked as a jeweler and goldsmith for several of the area jewelers.

     He is survived by his brothers, Thomas Murray of Nashua, NH, Patrick Murray and his wife, Jeannie, of Londonderry, NH, and Daniel Murray and his wife, Linda, of Myrtle Beach, SC; a plethora of nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews; and many friends including Ronald Emond and his wife, Terry, of Dracut.

      You are invited to His Calling Hours 4 until 7 p.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, Lowell 978-452-6361.  His Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. following the visitation.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Jimmy’s name to Home Health and Hospice, 7 executive Park Drive, Merrimack NH 03054 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O.     He has touched our family and our lives like no other. He dedicated himself to help rebuild our life when the world fell apart. Thank you for being there. He will always have a special place in our hearts.
