Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Barbara Bowe

A daughter of the late Leo Malonson and the late Gladys R. (Lefebvre) Malonson, she was born October 13, 1936, in Lowell, and was raised and educated in the city.

Barb made her home in Chelmsford and was employed as a cook for the University of Lowell for many years prior to her retirement.  Also, she loved to cook for family and friends as well throughout the years. Spending time with her family and friends is what brought her the most happiness, and she also loved the beach, the sun, taking cruises, trips to Florida, and of course she loved playing Keno.

Lange of Hudson, NH, Tara J. Donnelly of Lowell, and Johnathan C. Hastings and Alec C. Hastings of Hudson, NH; two great grandchildren, Anthony M. Lange and his wife, Megan of Nashua, NH, and Nathaniel J. Lange of Hudson, NH; her uncle, Allen Lefebvre of Pepperell; her companion, John Douglas of Lowell, as well as several cousins and many nieces and nephews including her cousin Priscilla Champagne of Lowell, MA to whom she was very close, as well as her Goddaughter Linda Malonson of NH.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Leo Malonson, Richard Malonson, Ruth Barton, Gladys Rowe, Dorothy Webb, George Malonson, and she was the longtime companion of the late Dr. Tom Sweeney.

Will miss my frequent talks on the phone with Aunt Barb. Will miss all the help with the family genealogy that she has given me. Without Aunt Barb our family will feel a little different. Hugs to all my family and I hope to see you in the spring😘
