Miss McCarthy was my gym teacher and basketball coach 1973-76 years at WHS. She was so very devoted to teaching and coaching. I’ll always remember how, under her careful supervision, taught us girls how to vault over a pommel horse and balance on the beam; how to play a good game of field hockey or basketball; how to play sports carefully and well. She was a really good teacher and coach. I am fortunate to have had her at WHS.
