Albert Keith

Lowell- Albert Keith, 84 died peacefully at Lowell General Hospital at Saints Memorial Campus on August 18, 2023 with his son by his side, after a brief illness. He was born in Waltham, the son of the late Albert Keith Senior, and Leonora Keith. Albert was the widow of the late Rosemary Keith, to whom he enjoyed 45 years of marriage until her passing in 2015.

Albert was very proud to have served his country by joining the US Navy at the age of 17, aboard the USS Ticonderoga Aircraft Carrier, where he served for three years before being honorably discharged.

He also cherished his days of playing lead guitar with his band, riding motorcycles, flying airplanes at Tew-Mac airport, and becoming a runner, completing the Boston Peace Marathon in the 1990’s.

After his retirement from the MBTA in Boston in 1991, he and Rosemary enjoyed many years of traveling together. Near the end of his life, he simply enjoyed the company of his family, and afternoon lunches at Rocco’s Italian Restaurant in Wilmington with his son.

He is survived by his devoted son, Scott Keith, of Woburn, his loving daughter, Luanne Gray, of Medway, a sister in law, Nancy Meehan, of Lowell, and a niece, Emily Meehan, and her family, of Exeter New Hampshire.

Honoring his wishes, no services are planned. Committal will be held privately. His family requests contributions in Albert’s memory, be made to the wonderful people of Compassus Hospice, 790 Turnpike St., # 202 North Andover MA 01845, who gave such outstanding care for Albert in his time of need.
