Richard A. Neveu
LOWELL – Richard A. Neveu, 60, of Lowell, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born on January 28, 1961, in Lowell, he was a son of Paul F. Neveu Sr. of Lowell and the late Leona (Lamoureux) Neveu. Rick grew up in Lowell and graduated from Greater Lowell Technical High School.
Shortly after his graduation from high school, Rick joined the United States Navy and served for four years attaining the rank of Electricians Mate, Petty Officer and was honorably discharged in 1984.
Rick was employed as a machinist at High Tech Machinist, Inc. in Chelmsford and was a long time employee of the Catcher’s Mitt Pub in Lowell.
He enjoyed time with family and yearly vacations at Lake Winnipesaukee as well as golf trips to Myrtle Beach with his friends. He loved listening to Little Big Town and The Who and watching New England Sports. He loved sitting by a fire, splitting wood for the fire, spending time in the sun, and loved Chocolate bars and Budweiser.
In addition to his father, Paul F. Neveu Sr. of Lowell, he is survived by his siblings, Maurice A. Neveu and his wife, Karen, of North Carolina, Paul F. Neveu, Jr. and his wife, Adriana, of Lowell, and Michelle A. LeBlanc and her husband, Leo, of Townsend;
and his many nephews and nieces.
You are invited to His Memorial Visitation on Friday, October 15, 2021 at MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith St., Lowell, 978-452-6361 from 3 until 7 p.m. His Funeral Service and Military Honors will be held at 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. All are invited to a celebration of Rick’s life which will be held on November 6, 2021, at 12 Noon at The Catchers Mitt Pub, 726 Gorham Street, Lowell. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
