Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

William S. Robinson, III

William S. Robinson, III, 73, of Exeter, NH, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Exeter Hospital, following complications from a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on November 17, 1952, in Lowell, MA, Bill was the son of the late William S. Robinson, Jr. and Maureen (McHugh) Weldon. He was raised and educated in Hudson, NH, and graduated from Alvirne High School—where his curiosity, independence, and love of tinkering were already taking shape.

In 1975, Bill proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, serving 6 years until his honorable discharge. He deeply appreciated the opportunities the Navy gave him, especially the chance to see the world while serving his country. Of all the places he traveled, he spoke most fondly of his time in the Azores.

Bill was a longtime member of the American Legion, and an enthusiastic member of the Mercury Cougar Car Club. A true automotive enthusiast—and unapologetic gearhead—Bill loved anything with an engine. He poured that same passion into building model cars and airplanes, and could often be found flying (and occasionally crashing) control line planes, many of them his own designs.

Family meant everything to Bill. He cherished holidays spent with loved ones, but Christmas held a special place in his heart. His elaborate Christmas village display became a beloved tradition and was even featured on NH Chronicle this past year—something that brought him great joy and pride.

Confined to a wheelchair for 44 years, Bill never allowed it to define or limit him. Known affectionately as “Hell on Wheels,” he remained a daredevil at heart, always finding ways to live life fully and on his own terms. He worked for Home Depot in Seabrook, NH, for five years and previously spent many years as an electronics technician with RCA and Raytheon.

Bill is survived by his three sons: James Neskey and his partner Kimberly Baxter of Methuen, MA; Aaron Neskey and his wife Jessica of Raymond, NH; and William S. Robinson IV and his wife Kae of Derry, NH. He also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren—Zoey, William, Ryleigh, Allaryce, Emberly and Zoe—who brought him endless pride and happiness. He is also survived by his sister, Joanne (Robinson) Conte and her husband Timothy, as well as his step-siblings, Joan Weldon and Susan Weldon.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Bill’s honor to Easterseals New Hampshire, an organization whose mission reflects his resilient spirit and lifelong determination. Donations may be made at https://eastersealsnh.org/donate/
