Terry Michael Bennett

Terry Michael Bennett, 46, of Nashua, New Hampshire, formerly of the Bronx, New York, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua.

Born in the Bronx on March 13, 1980, he was the son of the late Terry Bennett and of Bernadette (Gaston) Harrell of Albany, New York. Known to nearly everyone as “T-Money,” he grew up in the Bronx as part of a large and close family and was educated in the city’s schools. In 2018 he moved north with his children, first to Massachusetts and later making his home in Nashua.

Terry was a supervisor at Axcelis Technologies in Beverly, Massachusetts, where he worked in semiconductor supplies for eight years. He was tireless in the truest sense of the word. Work was never far from his mind, and he took real satisfaction in putting in the hours and doing the job right.

Away from work, Terry loved his games, and he could most often be found at his PC playing Call of Duty, already looking ahead to the next Grand Theft Auto release. He was particular about his appearance and made no apologies for it. He liked to look good and smell good, and he had a genuine love of shoes. His mornings began the same way for years, with a cup of ginger tea. Most of all, he loved time spent with his family, and he made room for it whenever he could.

He was a bright and quick-witted man with a steady, sunny disposition. Those who knew him will remember that he was rarely sad and almost never angry. He took real joy in the ordinary moments of a day, and he was endlessly supportive of the people he loved, offering encouragement freely and without being asked. He was, above all, loving and caring.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Sophorn (Tim) Bennett of Nashua, with whom he was looking forward to celebrating their second wedding anniversary. He was the devoted father of Fancy Bennett, Gavin Bennett, Terry Bennett, Jr., and Shantina Bennett, and the loving stepfather of Lizmarie Fonseca and Jaelon White. He was the proud grandfather of a cherished granddaughter. He also leaves his mother, Bernadette (Gaston) Harrell, and her husband, Anthony, of Albany, New York; his many brothers and sisters of the Bronx, New York; numerous brothers and sisters in law; and a wide circle of friends, including his dear friends Kemo and Hendry.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Mahoney Funeral Home, 187 Nesmith Street, Lowell, MA 01852. A service of remembrance will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
