Elaine Carol (Woods) Ross

LONG TIME RESIDENT OF LOWELL, MA

Elaine Carol Ross, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at the age of 90. Elaine was the widow of the late Alexander John Ross, who passed away in 2002 after forty-eight years of marriage.

A daughter of the late Henry and Lena (DeSilvia) Woods, Elaine was born on August 8, 1935, and was raised and educated in North Reading, Massachusetts, graduating from North Reading High School.

Elaine worked as an Administrative Secretary for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, Massachusetts, where she earned countless awards and accolades throughout her more than 20-year career. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where her love was expressed through cooking and baking for those she cherished. Among her many talents, she was a skilled seamstress and a passionate gardener, creating beauty with her hands for all to enjoy.

Above all else, Elaine treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family gatherings, shared meals, laughter, and simple moments together meant everything to her, and her love will continue to be felt through the generations she nurtured. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will never fade.
